Myzithra Cheese

I bought this for my Mom when she couldn't find it for a recipe. Apparently I went overboard by buying two pounds but it seems to freeze well. The whole town has had some by now! Versatile with many recipes can be inserted for mozzerella romano parmasean and feta ... it only takes imagination. Great twist to recipes!

If you've never had real Swiss fondue you're really missing something special. My only regret is that I live in an area that usually doesn't get cold enough to really enjoy fondue to its fullest. To compensate (and because we love winter) my wife and I often go to the mountains where it does snow and when we do one of the first things we enjoy is Swiss fondue.

I've found that the cheeses in this assortment make a wonderful and very authentic Swiss fondue. Just be sure to have a loaf of crusty French bread handy as well as white wine and kirsch. And don't skimp on the kirsch; it really makes the fondue special.

My family and I have found that fondue is best served the traditional Swiss way...as a main course. It's just too filling for an appetizer and just so good you want to eat your fill! There's nothing quite as relaxing as a good fondue on a cold winter's night. This cheese assortment is the first really authentic fondue assortment I've found since my days of backpacking and hitchhiking around Europe.

Tickled pink!

I wasn't sure what the quality or size would be. UPS had to delay the shippment a couple days due to bad weather and product still arrived cold. Packed very well with styrofoam and coldpaks. Cheeses vaccuum packed so I didn't feel like I had to eat all that cheese right away. Cheeses were sized well. Decent sized bricks and wheels. No ordinary cheeses. Things like Blueberry Stilton were the norm. Even had a cheese I had never heard of. Was a great value. I'll definately be purchasing from them in the future. More detail ...

It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This

The assortment arrived in excellent condition in a styrofoam cooler packed with reusable icepacks. The sage cheese was intensely sage flavored. It was superb. The Stilton was at the top of it's game excellent with crackers or fruit. The cheddar was straight from across the Atlantic. I closed my eyes while I was eating it and I was back at the Angel and Greyhound Pub in Oxford England. It doesn't get any better than this. I highly recommend this assortment.More detail ...
